Brenda Yuzdepski, BScPharm, Named PCCA Canada 2012 Compounding Pharmacist of the Year

MONTREAL (September 14, 2012): Brenda Yuzdepski, BScPharm, of Medical Arts Pharmacy in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, was named PCCA Canada’s 2012 Compounding Pharmacist of the Year at a presentation held during PCCA Canada’s Networking Seminar, September 14-15, 2012, at Le Westin Hotel in Montreal, Quebec. Yuzdepski was surrounded by her family, friends, mentors, and colleagues when she was presented the award. A video was shown, which featured interviews and greetings from staff and colleagues, including her parents and son, Davis, who all expressed their respect and admiration for her dedication to patients and pharmacy. The presentation was followed by a champagne lunch in honor of Yuzdepski’s achievement.

As owner of Medical Arts Pharmacy, Yuzdepski brings a broad range of experience and knowledge to her practice. She regularly lectures on herbals, nutritional support, complementary medicine, and creating optimal health through compounding.

Yuzdepski received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan, and currently is working towards a Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine from the American Association of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). She was awarded the 2010 Pharmacist of the Year Award for the province of Saskatchewan, and has been published in a wide variety of papers and magazines. Yuzdepski currently serves on the board for the Medical Arts Building and Saskatoon Autism Services, is a member of PCCA Canada’s Advisory Council and PCCA Concierge Compounding, and also is a member of a collaborative working group of pharmacists and physicians who are looking to enhance interdisciplinary relationships and pharmacist prescription privileges.
